Vinatge Photobooth at the Coca Cola Christmas Party
When it comes to Christmas parties, you know Coca Cola are bound to have a ball! After all, the brand plays a special part in today’s Christmas celebrations so the team deserve a good party and fun times in a pop-up vintage photobooth once a year, wouldn’t you say ? Of course the choice of background was a no-brainer : our most classic curtain design is the perfect fit for the bold red themed do. The props were retro and a vintage Father Christmas stood there in the background throughout the whole event, watching to see whose name would be added to the Naughty List. We’re not giving names, but you can see for yourself in these highlight photos – from cute ‘n’ cuddly to a quick kiss caught on camera ! Enjoy - as they say ; )
Looking very dapper !
Gold props on a red background – always a winner.
Think that’s what you call a “photo bomb” ?!
Team work !
Rudolph, the red light and soul of the party !
19 people in front of our Vintage Photobooth – not bad !
Showing Santa some party moves
NaaaaawThanks Coca Cola ! Hope you had as great a time as we did !

Classic photobooth and mountain backdrop at Tesco’s 2013 Christmas Party
Christmas parties are an important part of our year as you can imagine and so recently we have been busy popping up booths all over the UK. Suits, pretty dresses, bubbly and even bosses have all been crowding in to our booths to have their photo taken, celebrating Christmas and the end of an exciting 2013.
When Tesco asked us to bring along a Classic booth to their end of year party we couldn’t have said a quicker yes – we knew the large team would be up for some fun !
To get the party started, we had a brand new mountain backdrop designed as you can see in these fun photographs. The latest addition to our collection of backdrops is ideal for Christmas parties and slightly more realistic than our pixel-like mountain backdrop that we love just as much. The antlers, earmuffs and ski masks were a must on the prop side – as you can see the guests made good use of the whole lot !
To make the Tesco team feel at home, the whole booth was wrapped in their own personal branding – this option is always ideal for a company do.
Winter props galor
Oooo ehhhh !
Group hug for Christmas
Looking darling !
Spot the difference
Yep – Our luxury antler can be worn any way you like !
GOOD SHOT !
Look at those lady’s angels
Cheers ! Luscious forest at the bottom of the mountain backdrop.
Looking almost as pro as Team GB !
Thanks again Tesco !

Calling all Instagram addicts !
There may be 10 instagram apps you cannot live without throughout the year, but there are also a few fun apps you’re going to have to grab before Xmas is here too, to make sure those pretty little mince pies look their best on the mantlepiece. Yep, this year, being able to add virtual Santa’s hats to your pictures might save your dog the annual discomfort of a real hat on his poor little head. Here it goes for our top five : apps with festive fonts, bauble borders and more !
Insta Christmas – the official Christmas app for Instagram lovers ! This app offers all you could need really : filters, fonts, borders and the possibility to share your pics on Instagram staight from the app. Simples – just what you’ve always wanted ; ) More info on Itunes.

Instaplace – Because so many of us will be travelling all over the world this Xmas, share the love and send messages from far away with Instaplace. Anti-Bullying Week with Facebook
After telling you all about the recent Walking With The Wounded event, it’s time we revealed some snaps from another great cause : Anti Bullying Week , supported by Facebook, promoting positive anti-bullying messages around the UK. The main reason Facebook got involved this year is because the theme of the 2013 anti bullying week was cyber bulling – something we unfortunately have been hearing more and more about over the past few months. Although the actual week in question started back on November 22nd, the teams are currently touring schools to help deal with bullying throughout the country. We were so glad to take part in the event organised by Facebook in November and are pleased to share some of the best pics taken that day on here. Enjoy !
Whilst we’re on the topic of the Anti-Bullying campaign, we thought it might also be interesting to share a post about the best ways to avoid cyber bullying. The Guardian published this great list during Anti-Bullying Week with top tips from Facebook who are fully involved in fighting this virtual yet real form of abuse. Figures in the article are shocking with a reported 47% of 14-year-olds in the survey facing bullying… Make sure you spread the word – we are !
Thanks for letting us share and if you are interested in making a difference in schools, playgrounds and even homes, be sure to follow the Anti Bullying campaign here.

Walking With the Wounded event
At The Photo Emporium, we are always ready to party for a good cause. We regularly take part in charity events and Walking with the Wounded is one of our personal favourites. The UK-based charity funds both the re-training and re-education of wounded servicemen and women to make coming home easier after risking their lives. As you may know, a huge part of the charity’s work is encouraging rehabilitation including helping injured men and women find long term employment after their experiences on the front line. We truly believe that raising awareness is fundamental ground-work and were more than glad to take part in this event.
The props we took along were perfectly seasonal and the natural wooden background turned out wonderfully ! We know we’ll be taking these to quite a few Christmas Parties this upcoming month ! Talking of which – there’s still time to pass on the message about our amazing Xmas offer… Don’t forget, you could grab yourself a £75 voucher to spend on Amazon ! Find out more here.
Well we certainly enjoyed ourselves at the Walking With The Wounded party and hope we can hang out with these guys again soon – our photobooth just loves having so many happy, helpful faces smiling at it !
Thanks for letting us share !

Boden SS 2014 Press Day
When the weather gets colder and days get shorter, there are always Spring press days to cheer you up. Hence, we had some great British style in our booths recently at the Boden SS 2014 press day at Somerset House in London. Huge balloons were used as props and a baby-blue striped backdrop set the perfect scene. How the guests managed to be so colour coordinated we’ll never know, but they definitely looked the perfect part in the press day pics.
Mix and match !
Cute as candy !
We couldn’t resist making a few fun gifs with the Boden shots – this way you can really feel the fun !
The clothes on show really were a breath of fresh air, typically bright and bold and of course super stylish. The team also had their first Google Hangout giving a sneak peek at the Boden SS14 range and giving you style tips for the upcoming season, you can check it out here.
Go go red balloon !
We had a few special guests in the booth, too ; )
Pretty in pink !
Not so mellow yellow !
How many can you squeeze in there ?!
Thanks to Boden for having us and be sure to check out their beautiful range when it comes out.
More from recent events coming soon – Thanks for stopping by !

10 things to think of when preparing your Christmas Party (last minute !)
Yes it’s ALREADY that time of the year and you need to get busy if you have an office party to prepare. Here are our top ten tips for preparing a christmas party, even if you’re running late !
1 : DATE – If you haven’t already sorted out a date for your party, you’d better get planning ! On Twitter, we have noticed people are already attending more than one Christmas party per weekend so make sure you find out when people are free and get them to SAVE THAT DATE. If you haven’t got the details to pass on for now, simply send an email asking people to take note of the event and tell them you’ll get in touch soon with the details – remember to make it sound promising, just in case your guests have to make a choice ; )
2 : VENUE – At this point, you might have to be clever because by now most of the well-known venues have been booked up for months. Think about the places you already have at your disposition : could your meeting room become a party room for the night ? Or how about teaming up with another company who have the space but may not have enough tables ? That means extra chance for networking too ! Or then again maybe your local pub would be willing to do you a favour ? After all, your team spends a year’s salary in pints every Friday ! Be clever, you could save yourself a lot of money, and don’t hesitate to ask around.
3 : FOOD – Depending on the number of people invited to your party, you might want to invite your guests to bring along their favourite nibbles, or work with a caterer instead. Remember once again, caterers are probably very busy already, but you never know your luck ! If all else fails, remember places like Wasabi do special party platters. For extra Xmas spirit, pop by at M&S, grab some mince pies and serve them on trays with icing sugar and holy – hey presto !
4 : DRINK – You know the party gets good after a few so make sure you don’t skimp on this one ! However you don’t want people misbehaving or not turning up on Monday out of utter shame, so try and find an in between. Supply wine or sparkly instead of spirits, and make sure there’s plenty of food to soak up that booze. If needed, you can always remind your team to behave themselves, or you could just sit back and enjoy the ride… But don’t say we didn’t warn you !
5 : DECORATIONS – You can never have too many Xmas decorations so be sure to stock up on tinsel and wreathes. Remember places like pound shops and Primark who tend to offer great value decorations these days. Also avoid anything too messy, like snow spray and glitter. However fun they may seem at this stage, you’ll regret it when it’s all over. Don’t forget a Xmas tree, be it real or synthetic, and why not have a great basket of baubles on the door and invite each guest to take their pick to decorate the tree ?
6 : DRESS CODE – Are you expecting people to dress up as Rudolph or to turn up in their little black dress or tux ? Don’t forget to let people know to avoid taking the brunt of it, possibly from a humiliated Mother Xmas in fish net tights…!
7 : SPEECH – Because someone has to make one… Try and get it in early, unless you’re particularly comfortable with standing in front of a rowdy crowd !
8 : ENTERTAINMENT – If you want your party to be extra fun, why not prepare some entertainment ? You could go for something traditional like carol singers or a DJ, but there are also plenty of other, unusual party ideas like inviting a swing band or even a celebrity ! Alivenetwork is a great place to look for inspiration.
9 : GIFTS – You don’t have to do gifts at a Christmas party but it can be a nice touch to organise a Secret Santa or leave each guest with a little “something”. Personalised mugs for the office could be a good one, or why not a gadgety desk accessory ?
10 : PHOTOS – You didn’t think we were going to forget, did you ?! No party is a real party without the coolest photobooth in town : a Photo Emporium photobooth ! Add to that unlimited prints, a festive backdrop and a Xmassy prop box full of beards and hats and you’re in for the perfect party.
SPECIAL OFFER : We have a very special offer going on all Christmas party bookings - find out more here, and get booking !
Have fun !

Instagram party branded photobooth
Following our post sharing the party fun from Instagram’s recent event with Team GB celebrating 100 days to Sochi Winter Games, we thought we’d share a little bit of backstage news…
Before we attend events with our pop-up photobooths, a lot of thought goes into the choice of booth, decoration and photo design. Of course, the client is first to pick, making a choice between the classic photobooth, the vintage photobooth or an airstream photobooth. Following this choice, we offer a range of services making sure our photobooths fit in perfectly with each and every event. This means logos and specific hashtags or event names can be added to the photo designs, but also that we can supply bespoke backdrops as well as brand our booths from top to toe. Basically, our photobooths are fit to attend absolutely any event in the whole wide world. Cool, right ?!
Naturally, the booth welcoming Team GB athletes and celebrated stars had to have an Olympic Games touch to it – which is why we had this incredible mountainside backdrop put up. Remember how cool it looked with those fit sportsmen and women posing in front of it !
Of course all the relevant branding went up too, including the SOCHI 2014 logo, Instagram’s logo and #RoadToSochi. Our photobooths all connect to the Internet so guests can share the fun in real time so it’s always handy to know the trending hashtag.
The over all look of our branded booths is neat and professional and it also means that your party theme can be pushed to the extreme…
The snazzy perspex booth with a touch screen was dressed from top to bottom in its own extra special gear.
And of course we always bring along a themed prop box… Anyone need to borrow a hat ?!
Ready to party !
If you are ever interested in having a branded booth at an event you are holding, please get in touch with our team ! We will be glad to talk through ideas with you in order to create the perfect booth and atmosphere for your party. More info on www.thephotoemporium.com
